Guides
Task-oriented walkthroughs for the things people actually do with X from the command line.
Each guide is built around a job rather than a command: reading tweets and profiles, searching and finding people, working from your own account, shaping and piping the output, and keeping a local copy in SQLite. They assume you have run the quick start.
Reading tweets
Single tweets, timelines, replies, media, threads, polls, profiles, quotes, and mentions, with the tier each one needs.
Search and discovery
Search tweets by query and product, count tweets per day, and list followers, following, likers, retweeters, and likes.
Your session
Import your X session to unlock the reads X reserves for logged-in clients: search, followers, your home timeline, and bookmarks. x is read-only.
Output and pipelines
The -o formats, --fields projection, --template rendering, piping to jq, IDs as strings, and --limit.
The local store
Persist reads to SQLite with --db, crawl accounts breadth-first, inspect with db stats and db query, manage the queue, and export to Markdown.
